Farhat Remtula-Tejani, MA Candidate, LMHC Intern

Farhat Remtula-Tejani Farhat (she/her) is a clinical mental health counseling intern completing her master’s in clinical Mental Health Counseling at Antioch University Seattle, along with a certificate in Perinatal Mental Health. She is interning under the supervision of Julie Miller, MA, LMHC, Approved Intern Supervisor. 

Rooted in integrative, client-centered, trauma-informed practice, Farhat brings a warm, grounded presence to the therapeutic space and a gentle sense of humor. Having personally experienced marginalization, acculturative stress, and perinatal distress, she holds deep respect for the ways culture, family, community, and spiritual identity shape a person’s healing journey. Her work is deeply informed by over a decade of lived experience as a caregiver and advocate for her daughter with disabilities, giving her unique insight into family systems, chronic stress, and resilience. With a prior career in tech and design, she also brings an understanding of high-pressure professional environments and the needs of clients in creative or corporate spaces. 

She strives to create a safe, affirming, and collaborative space where clients feel seen, supported, and empowered in their healing.   

Farhat works with individuals ages 18 and up of all different cultures, identities, orientations, and backgrounds.

Farhat is in network with Coordinated Care, Community Health Plan of WA, and Aetna insurances.
