Julie Miller, MA, LMHC, Intern Supervisor

Julie Miller Julie earned her Master of Clinical Mental Health Counseling degree from Northwestern University in 2022. Her education was founded on Psychodynamic principles while incorporating a variety of different theories and techniques, including trauma and attachment. Julie likes to pull elements from multiple theories, making her an integrative therapist. She likes to bring her sense of humor into the therapeutic relationship, and her therapeutic style can be gentle, directive, or a mix of both, depending on the individual relationship she builds with her clients. Julie's collaborative approach to therapy fosters autonomy, empowerment, and self-awareness in her clients.

Julie enjoys building a strong therapeutic relationship, which she believes is the most important part of therapy. She also enjoys creating an environment where her clients feel a sense of safety and acceptance and, as a queer, BIPOC woman, Julie personally understands the difficulties of marginalization.

Julie enjoys working with people in all kinds of relationships, and she is trained in the Developmental Model for Relationship Therapy.

Julie works with individuals ages 21 and up of all different cultures, identities, orientations, and backgrounds.

Julie is in network with some insurance plans but does not accept all insurance plans so please call your insurance to check if she is covered in your plan.
